About

profileMy name is Amanda (also known as A-ro, never known as Mandy) and I started this blog as a way to explore why we—millennials, hipsters, whatever they call us—do what we do. How we live, love, thrive in awkward situations, the works.

I studied Cultural Anthropology in college not only because it was way more relaxed than Biology, but also because I found it the most interesting. How do different cultures describe pain? Why was marriage established? What the hell were hunter-gatherers thinking? These are the kind of questions that still get me going. And whether or not I parked in Wednesday or Friday street cleaning.

When I’m not pondering the origins of mankind, I do the typical yoga, chilling in parks, eating dessert, drinking wine and the atypical paint-by-numbers, random acting gigs, and whatever workout regimen Groupon sends my way.

I call San Francisco home and I’m just trying to find my way through this life with good people, good humor, and lots of love.
